    Court documents filed by Britney’s legal team yesterday brought a number of claims against James P. 창 – referred to as Jamieafter he petitioned to have Britney pay for legal fees associated with her conservatorship.

    Chief among the allegations made by Britney’s lawyer were that her father paid close to $6 million from her estate to a security firm which allegedly managed to obtain private phone records of Britney’s mother Lynne.

    In the petition, Jamie’s lawyer Alex Weingarten argued that his client’s legal fees should be paid for by Britney’s estate because Jamie had engaged in no wrongdoing.

    But Mathew Rosengart, representing Britney, challenged this claim in court papers filed yesterday, calling for the court to reject Jamie’s demands in light of the allegations of misconduct brought against him.

    In the court papers, Rosengart wrote that the allegations against Britney’s father are ‘specific, credible and serious, ranging from abuse to conflicts of interest, financial mismanagement and corruption of the conservatorship to implicating state and federal criminal law.

    A Los Angeles judge in November formally approved the process of ending the controversial conservatorship led by Jamie, which had allowed him to control many aspects of his daughter’s life since it was established in 2008 amid the popstar’s mental health concerns.

    One of the main allegations made by Britney’s legal team against her father suggests he paid the firm Black Box Security to monitor Britney’s phone to determine her contact with lawyers and the media, as well as secretly recording her in her bedroom.

    Ebadi said in the court filing seen by The Times she had interviewed former Black Box employee Alex Vlasov who claimed the company had allegedly obtained private phone records for Britney’s mother and close friends to find out if they were speaking to the media.

    Jamie also allegedly asked Black Box Security to send him Britney’s ‘therapy notesfrom her iCloud accountdespite this being prohibited without his daughter’s permission.

    The filing also claimed that Jamie had covered many of is living expenses with his daughter’s money, and also drew $1.5 million from her funds to maintain a house she owned in Louisiana.

    These are just two allegations among a host of other alleged financial misconduct, mismanagement and self-dealing claims brought against Jamie by his eldest daughter.

    An LA court is expected to hear Jamie Spearspetition calling for Britney to pay his legal fees related to the conservatorship later today.

    A conservatorship is granted by a court for individuals who are unable to make their own decisions, and is often used in cases where someone is the victim of dementia, Alzheimer’s or other mental illnesses.

    Britney conservatorship was established in 2008 after her highly-publicized struggles with mental health, and was split into two partsone for her estate and financial affairs, and the other for her personal life.

    Jamie Spears was placed in charge of both parts of the conservatorship and as a result enjoyed extreme control over his daughter’s life and funds.

    Jamie was suspended as Britney’s conservator in September 2021 and the conservatorship was officially ended in November after the popstar tried for months to free herself of the legal arrangement.

    Since her conservatorship ended, Britney has been extremely vocal and has hit out at several of her family members for their conduct.
