간병인, 26, who formed a ‘father daughter bond’ with a co-worker, 58, reveals how it turned to love with ‘great’ 섹스 – and says he’s become ‘best friends’ with her mother because they’re almost the same age
A woman in a relationship with a man 32-years her senior says their friendship initially started as a ‘dad and daughter’ 노예 – but now they have a ‘great’ sex life.
Carer Jessica Hockings, 26, from Mumby, 링컨 셔, got chatting to 58-year-old carer Dermot Murray at work last February because he was her friend’s former ‘fling’.
But as they spent more time together walking Jessica’s dogs and having late-night car drives to chat and enjoy ice-cream together, they quickly fell for one another.
The pair decided to make it official on April 4th, but kept it secret for fear of nasty comments from friends and strangers.
But the besotted pair couldn’t keep it secret for long, with Jessica admitting she wanted to be able to hold Dermot’s hand in public, and soon after announced their relationship.
Carer Jessica Hockings, 26, was not initially interested in Dermot Murray, 58, also a carer, (둘 다 사진) when they met at work last year
But as Jessica and Dermot spent time together, their friendship blossomed into what they describe as a ‘dad/daughter’ 노예
Dermot is almost the same age as her mum, meaning the duo are like ‘best friends’ – watching TV together when Jessica is out at work.
Despite being regularly mistaken for father and daughter while out and about, the loved-up couple prove that age is just a number and have already been engagement ring shopping.
They’ve picked out a tanzanite and diamond teardrop piece ahead of Dermot popping the question ‘soon’ – with Jessica also getting a heart tattoo with his initial inked on her engagement ring finger.
Jessica said: ‘We have a great sex life. Physically it’s very good, he’s gentle and always asks if I’m alright.’
Despite being in a committed relationship now, Jessica admits she was initially uninterested in Dermot. However a pal she worked with who’d had a fling with him previously, convinced her to give him a chance.
Jessica said: ‘I didn’t want to know him at first. I don’t have a lot of trust in men so to me it was very daunting.
Jessica says their friendly relationship soon turned into more, and the pair developed serious romantic feelings for each other
더못, 58, is ‘really sweet’ according to Jessica, who says he cooks for her and makes her drinks, writes notes to her, and runs baths for her
‘But the lady I worked with on the evenings had a fling with him for a couple of months then as a group of three [우리] became really close friends.
‘Then me and Dermot went into our own little friendship world.
‘As the shifts swapped over we used to have a cuddle and as it progressed I used to stay behind when everybody left and just spend time with him.
‘We’d then spend more time together when we used to go on late-night car drives.
‘I found out he lived around the corner so we used to walk the dogs together.
‘We used to meet up late at night after his work and we used to chat in his car.
‘He was a really good, solid friend – I could tell him my problems and share things with him that I wouldn’t tell anybody else.
‘It started off like a dad/daughter relationship, it was a gradual transition from that to a romantic relationship.
‘We started doing movie nights every Wednesday and it progressed from there. We both started to see something more so decided to just go for it.’
Before developing a romantic relationship, Jessica and Dermot became close friends, and would spend time together after work, having cosy chats in his car
As they got to know each other better, they both ‘started to see something more’, and decided to give their relationship a go
Jessica says she was apprehensive about the 32-year age gap at first, but that as time has gone by, they think about it less
Despite being initially apprehensive about the age gap, Jessica says that now, 10 months into their relationship, the pair don’t really consider it a factor.
Dermot has even moved in with Jessica and her 62-year-old mum, with Jessica describing the pair as being like ‘best friends’ who hang out together while she’s at work.
Jessica said: ‘I knew he was a lot older than me and I honestly didn’t think it would work because of the age difference [처음에] but when things started to progress we didn’t think of that.
‘At first we did keep our relationship a secret because we didn’t know what people would think of the age difference but then we thought ‘stuff it we’ll just come out with it’ because we couldn’t keep it a secret for long. I wanted to be able to hold his hand in public.
‘I live with my mum and she’s very supportive, 그녀는 62 but they’re like best friends. When I’m at work they watch telly together, which is really nice.
‘I was concerned what people would think of the age difference. We didn’t think much of it but because it is such a big age difference we have had a lot of the time ‘oh is this your daughter? Is this your dad?’.
‘The last time I went to hospital someone asked, “Oh is this your dad who’s brought you?”. I’m like, “No it’s my partner”.’
비밀: Because the couple were initially concerned about what other people would think, they kept their relationship a secret at first
According to Jessica, people have assumed Dermot is her father on numerous occasions, but she says this doesn’t bother her
‘It doesn’t bother us because we know that people might not understand.
‘Family and friends have been very supportive, which I was surprised at.
‘I think the only worry that there is is because we’re in different lifetimes – when he retires I’ll still be working.’
Despite only dating for 10 개월, the pair are looking to get engaged in the near future.
Jessica said: ‘We’ve already gone engagement ring shopping, we knew very early on that we wanted to marry each other.
‘I’m very picky about what I want and we were looking for a sapphire ring. But we found a completely different ring and we knew it was just the one.
‘When it’s going to happen I don’t know but he’s said it’s definitely going to happen at some point.’
To dedicate her commitment to Dermot, Jessica had her engagement ring finger inked last weekend – a red heart with the initial ‘D’ in the middle of it.
Jessica said: ‘I got the tattoo because we’ll be getting engaged at some point and he means the world to me.
‘It’s a love heart with a ‘D’ in it on my engagement finger, which I’ve wanted for a while.
Now the pair are planning to get married, and have already picked out an engagement ring, despite only being together for 10 개월
Jessica has had Dermot’s initial inside a love heart tattooed on her ring finger, saying she got the ink as ‘he means the world to [그녀]’
‘I’ve never had a relationship where I’ve been treated properly or loved like he does – it’s all new to me.
‘It’s just really nice because he’s old-fashioned in the romance way and I love that.
‘We used to write notes for each other, the odd gift now and then is really nice.
‘Certain things he does for me now is just really sweet like he’ll run a bath for me, or make me a drink or dinner – stuff like that just means a lot to me.
‘If he leaves for work early in the morning, which he sometimes does, he leaves a note for me on the bed or I leave him a note for when I’m at work.’
Jessica said she’s happier than ever with her relationship, despite the large age difference.
Jessica said: ‘Going out with an older man I find is so much better than [영국에서 가장 가능성이 희박한 미술 도둑이 자신을 액자에 넣었습니까?] my age because they have more life experience and he’s just so mature and loving.
‘To anyone who thinks 32 years is too big a difference, I would say as long as they treat you well the age shouldn’t matter.’
