  • Prince Charles insisted today that his mother the Queen was ‘all rightwhile she continues to rest at Windsor Castle, as he was mobbed by excited well-wishers outside a NatWest bank branch in South London.

    The 72-year-old Prince of Wales was given a very warm welcome by people gathered on a street in Brixton, and a man asked him: ‘Prince Charles, how is your mother?’ Charles replied: ‘She’s, she’s all right thank you.

    The heir-to-the-throne was in Brixton this morning to meet The Prince’s Trust Young Entrepreneurs, and wore a white crisp shirt and pin-striped grey suit adorned with a red poppy on his lapel as a symbol of remembrance.

    It comes as Clarence House confirmed that Charles and his wife Camilla will lead members of the Royal Family at the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday nightbut the Queen will not attend.

    Other royals attending are Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, il Duca e la Duchessa di Gloucester, il duca di Kent e la principessa Alexandra.

    Martedì, the Queen returned to Windsor Castle following a weekend away at her Sandringham country estate, giving fresh hope that she will attend Sunday’s National Service of Remembrance in the capital.

    The 95-year-old monarch, who has cancelled all public engagements on the advice of doctors after being hospitalised last month, flew by helicopter back to Windsor after travelling to Norfolk on Thursday last week.

    She was given permission by medics to travel to Sandringham, where she was seen out with staff and her dogs. The monarch and her late husband, il Duca di Edimburgo, always spent a week together at this time of year.

    The Queen missed attending the Cop26 climate change summit, instead delivering a pre-recorded video message from Windsor, and also had to cancel several other engagements in favour of only ‘lightduties at her desk.

    But the monarch has stated that it is her ‘firm intentionto be at the Cenotaph for the traditional Remembrance Sunday event this weekend, one of the most ‘sacredevents in her annual calendar. Her return to Windsor suggests she is hopeful of making what one royal aide described as ‘the most inked inengagement in her diary.

    During his visit to Brixton today, Charles could be seen sharing a joke with Keshia Eastsinger Fleur’s sister who showcased and shared her business success story after launching No Knot Co LTD, which manufactures hair tools and accessories for wavy, curly and coily hair types.

    Dopo, he was seen beaming as she shook hands with independent health and social care consultant Jacqui Dyer.

    The organisation was founded in 1976 by the Prince of Wales and supports those aged 11 per 30 who are unemployed, or pupils at school who are at risk of being excluded.

    NatWest has donated to the Prince’s Trust since 1976 and been partnered formally with them for more than 20 anni.

    The charity has helped 870,000 young people since it launched and supports over 100 more each day. Three in four of these young people move into work, training or education.

    Prince Charles rubbed shoulders with West End star Alexandra Burke, elegant in a black and white polka dot dress, as well as Chic’s Nile Rogers, who got the dance floor started with his energetic set.
