Cosmetic dentist, 29, who quit booze to swap his beer belly for toned abs is fined £4,000 for drink-driving after smashing car while twice over limit
A cosmetic dentist who shot to fame with a dramatic body transformation by quitting booze has been fined for drink driving after crashing his Mercedes.
Dr Rohan Sahdev, 29, had more than twice the legal alcol limit in his blood when he hit another car in Liverpool in July 2020.
The Liverpool University graduate was handed a lengthy ban and told to pay more than £4,000 in fines.
Four years ago he was dubbed one of the ‘city’s hottest dentists’ after turning a beer belly into a six-pack in nine months.
At the time he claimed cutting alcohol from his diet had helped him lose almost two stone and build muscle.

But prosecutors said Sahdev was well over the limit when he crashed into a black Audi on July 4, 2020, and appeared drunk when found by members of the public.
The dentist then left his car before returning and being found by police around an hour later.
A breathalyser found he had a blood alcohol level of 81 microgrammes per 100 millilitri di sangue, more than double the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.
Sahdev argued last month he was over the legal limit because he had drunk alcohol in the aftermath of the crash but magistrates found him guilty at a trial on October.

He was sentenced at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court today for drink driving and failing to stop after an accident.
Sahdev was disqualified from driving for 20 mesi. He was also fined £4,035 and ordered to pay £650 in costs and a £190 victim surcharge.

He started going six days a week and focused mostly on bodybuilding with one cardio session a week.

‘I love eating out. It’s a cliché but balance is key. It definitely gives me something to look forward to and keeps me motivated.’
