    Employees at drone technology firm Coptrz, based in Leeds, were discussing the best strategy for its products over the Black Friday weekend when they accidentally shared emails with customers.

    Marketing chief Kevin Gillespie floated the idea of using a photo of a member of staff holding his hands up and the word ‘Freeze’ sotto. This was meant to show customers the firm had frozen its Black Friday discounted prices for the rest of the weekend.

    But colleague Chelsi Smith replied to say she thought it was a ‘pretty s*** ideathat would cost them money.

    The emails were accidentally shared with their customers.

    The Leeds-based company today issued an apology for the ‘major error of judgement’.

    Paul Luen, CEO, ha detto in una dichiarazione: ‘You may have received an email from us on Friday that contained the F-word which was totally unacceptable and I’m very sorry if it caused offence.

    ‘We weren’t hacked, and we didn’t suffer a data breach.

    ‘We encourage the marketing team to push the envelope with inventive campaigns to help organisations realise the disruptive benefits of adopting drone technology.

    ‘In the haste of Black Friday, there was a major error of judgement that went beyond the limits of what’s acceptable.

    ‘Please accept my personal apology on this matter.

    He added the firm has since changed its ‘copy checking proceduresand told staff not to use swear words in emails ever again.
