Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica takes home silver medal at Tokyo Olympics and says rocker dad ‘was screaming’ on FaceTime after win
Equestrian Jessica Springsteen, daughter of rock legend Bruce Springsteen, took home a silver medal on Saturday after competing in the jumping finals at the 2020 Tokio Olimpiese Spele.
The 29-year-old rode alongside USA teammates, Laura Kraut, 55, and McClain Ward, 45, in a tense jump off with Swede at the Baji Koen Equestrian Park in Setagaya.
It comes a day after they were placed fifth in the qualifying round.

Springsteen’s parents Bruce and Patti Scialfa were so euphoric when she called them at their horse farm in Colts Neck, New Jersey, that she couldn’t make out what they were saying.
‘I FaceTimed them really quickly,’ Springsteen said, minutes after the medal ceremony.
‘They were all screaming and I don’t think we understood a word anyone was saying. I just saw them in their Span VSA gear. I couldn’t make any of it out but I know they were all excited.’

‘Don is a really talented horse, and we have formed a solid partnership over the past two years.’
The youngest member of the US Jumping Olympic Team also gushed to the high-fashion magazine about the excitement of going to the Olympics while laying praise on her teammates.
‘This has been my dream since I first started riding, so it all still feels surreal,’ sy het gese.
‘My teammates are riders I’ve looked up to throughout my career, as well as former Olympians, so I’m really looking forward to sharing this experience with them.’

‘It’s always an honor to represent my country, and to be doing so at the games is something in which I take great pride.
Though she’s no doubt looking forward to the rest of her time in Tokyo, she also said she can’t wait to get back home to her loved ones.
Neither her famous parents nor her boyfriend, Italian rider Lorenzo De Luca, 34, is able to join her in Tokyo due to COVID-19 rules.

Speaking to NBC’s Today show last month, Jessica said her Grammy-winning dad, 71, and musician mum ‘were so excited’ when she made the team after a lifetime of supporting her in the sport.
‘They’ve supported me since I was little, and this has been a huge dream of mine ever since I can remember.’
‘The sport has become such a passion for them as well, and we’ve been on this journey together, so they’ve been so proud of me, so happy,’ het sy bygevoeg.
