‘We tend to solely place emphasis on our skincare and on the products and steps, while neglecting the application technique,’ Melanie posted on Instagram.

‘Consider facial massage a fundamental component of your skincare routine. It’s every bit as pleasant as it sounds.

The facialist explained that there are many benefits to facial massage, and if you do it daily, you will be encouraging circulation throughout the lymphatic system, stimulating your blood flow, boosting collagen and detoxifying and improving your overall skin texture.

‘Facial massage works to brighten and firm the skin, while draining and moving any trapped fluid, puffiness and toxins that might be lurking under the surface,’ Melanie said.

‘Essentially, the overall purpose of a facial massage is to give your skin an extra boost while amplifying the potency and efficacy of your products.
