Gene Simmons tests positive for COVID-19… days after KISS bandmate Paul Stanley was diagnosed
KISS rocker Gene Simmons has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Simmons ,72, health news was shared on the band’s social media on Tuesday, just days after word fellow frontman Paul Stanley, 69, had contracted the virus.
In light of the news, KISS will be postponing their tour for four dates.

They assured fans they’d be back in action soon, egter, sê: ‘doctors have indicated the tour should be able to resume on September 9th at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, DAARDIE.’
KISS was already forced to pull the plug on their gig at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania last Wednesday following Starchild Stanley’s diagnosis.
But the guitarist is handling things well, Volgens TMZ sources who said Paul is ‘fully vaccinated and feeling fine despite the positive test.’
Gene appeared on TV shortly after news of Paul’s illness, saying that the band was quarantining for safety.
Stanely addressed rumors he was struggling with heart issues after the band’s Pennsylvania date was cancelled on August 25th.
‘PEOPLE!!! I am fine! I am not in ICU! My heart allows me to do 26 miles a day on my bike! I don’t know where this came from but it’s absolute nonsense,’ the 69-year-old explained in a tweet.

He continued to update fans about his health on Thursday, sharing a selfie and writing: ‘Some really rough days behind and hopefully just a few more ahead. Dan… I’M COMIN’ OUT THERE TO SEE YOU!!!!’
En Maandag, a healthy Stanley tweeted: 'My COVID -simptome was MILD in vergelyking met baie ander, en laat ek u vertel… It kicked my ass. It’s over now.’
Though Simmons has yet to personally comment on his condition, on Tuesday he tweeted a news link about Republican Senator Mitch McConnell urging people to get vaccinated.
KISS have previously confirmed that they plan on finishing their End Of The Road World Tour, and that it will be their last trek out on the road before retiring.
