女孩, 13, is in hospital with serious injuries after dog off its lead leaped up and bit her face
一种 13 year old girl has been left with serious facial injuries after she was attacked by a dog in Letchworth at the weekend.
At around 3pm on Sunday, a black Staffordshire bull terrier jumped up at the girl’s face and bit her nose.
The attack happened as the girl entered in the field between Webb Close and Kyrkeby in the town with her mother.

The dog was off the lead at the time it approached the young girl.
The girl is now in hospital being treated for serious facial injuries, which will require reconstructive surgery.
The dog owner is described as a white man with red messy hair. He was wearing a light blue t-shirt and dark shorts. He left the scene with the dog and officers are now trying to trace him.
Detective Sergeant Michael Ball who is leading the investigation said it’s believed the man and his dog are well known in the area and officers are appealing to anyone who saw the incident or who knows who the owner is, to get in touch as soon as possible.
