    Today a homeowner in Mostyn revealed the latest glimpse of what he believed could be a puma after seeing the large black animal on CCTV in his garden.

    He was was woken by a disturbance in the early hours of the morning and, after checking the footage, was shocked to see a black creature lurking behind a wheelbarrow.

    The sighting in Mostyn, Noord-Wallis, follows a series of sightings across the region reported to Puma Watch North Wales.

    In February the MailOnline reported that a ‘massiveblack cat ‘the size of a sheephad been spotted prowling round the Welsh hills.

    Footage showed the large animal just yards away from a field of grazing sheep. It was the third sighting of a big cat in the area, op daardie stadium.

    Puma Watch founder Tony Jones said: ‘It’s not the first time big cats have been spotted in the area. We previously shared a terrifying tale of a big cat mauling a large dog near Mostyn Docks, along with multiple sightings at nearby Whitford and Abakhan Fabrics.

    ‘A few miles away in Holywell, a big cat was caught on CCTV by staff at a supported living accommodation several times within a few days back in July. In Junie, a black panther was spotted along the coast in Rhyl.

    ‘A suspected puma was also spotted few miles away at Rhuallt Hill back in January. Footprints were also found in Meliden over winter, with many other nearby sightings featured on our interactive map.

    Due to the flurry of sightings in his constituency, MP for Delyn Rob Roberts wrote to the Welsh Government’s Environment Minister Lesley Griffiths in February.

    She replied that reports received by the Welsh Government are treated seriously and investigated.
