The granddaughter of Earl Mountbatten, 54, who was a bridesmaid at the wedding of Charles and Lady Diana 斯宾塞, tied the knot with her partner of 26 years David Flint Wood in a ‘very conventional’ ceremony which took place in Brightwell Baldwin Parish Church in Oxfordshire in September.
She wore a turtle neck wedding dress by Emilia complete with ivory tull and lace and an A-line skirt for the big day.
采取 Instagram的 two months after the star-studded nuptials, India posted a series of snaps and videos as she attended multiple wedding dress fittings with Emilia, who is a favourite designer to the royals.
India commented: ‘What to wear to a wedding when you are 54 岁? This takes a little thinking about – especially when you are actually the bride and its your first time down the aisle.’

Posting a series of clips from various visits to the Emilia Wickstead bridal studio, India wrote: ‘What to wear to your own wedding?
‘Find someone you trust and be prepared to collect a lot of parking tickets during fittings.’
她继续: ‘Several weeks after our first design meeting, I try on the maquette – made up of spare fabric, which can be played around with.
‘This helped me to know I did not want a long train. I was not a spring chicken bride – 面对现实吧 – ankle length felt much more benefitting.’

Posting on her Instagram page, she also revealed how she had suffered a mishap with her veil on the morning of her wedding.
她透露: ‘And a veil? The symbol of virginity, but between you and me I had lost that a while ago, but as it felt a simple, very bridal gesture I decided to wear one, and so Emilia Wickstead not only created my dress and the bridesmaid dresses but also organized my veil.

‘The veil was going to be delivered to my mothers home where I was staying and the bridesmaids dresses for my French friends twin girls would be dropped to our neighbors, where he was staying. In some sort of wedding confusion the veil went along with the twins dresses, all bundled up together.
‘On the morning of the wedding just after my hair had been pinned up and I was about to slip into my dress I realized the veil had never been delivered. PANIC ENSUED. Where the heck was that veil?
‘Mean while over in our neighbors home, Christian was being woken by his small twin girls, in terrible tears.
‘There were two dresses but only one veil, how were they to share one veil? 基督教, half asleep, and always very creative said. “ Zis is not a problem. We will cut zis veil in half, its long, there is more than enough for you both. Go find me scissors.”

‘Back at my mother’s house I suddenly guessed what had happened. The veil must be with the bridesmaid dresses. I urgently called the house “My veil is missing – I think its there.”
‘Brooke and Robin also staying went to have a look and found Christian, his two girls, the veil and a large pair of scissors about to cut it in half.’
Among the A-list guests at the couple’s swanky wedding in September was jazz singer Jamie Cullum and his wife former model Sophie Dahl – granddaughter of legendary writer Roald – as well as American actress Brooke Shields and legendary shoe designer Christian Louboutin.
India’s bridesmaids were led by her daughter Domino, who like her mother wore an Emilia Wickstead gown. The others included Christian Louboutin’s six-year-old twin daughters, Paloma and Eloise.
As if the children of one fashion dynasty wasn’t enough, the line-up was completed by Ines de Givenchy – daughter of Zoe and Olivier de Givenchy. Olivier is a JP Morgan executive and the nephew of designer Hubert de Givenchy.
Her page boys were Kit Fraser, her godson, and her nephew Fraser Flint Wood.
India and David were seen cutting their three-tier wedding cake decorated with white roses at their lavish reception, which took place in an outdoor marquee the night before the wedding.

Beautiful images from inside the church show the couple signing the marriage license while adorable bridesmaid wearing white dresses and crowns made of green foliage watched on.
India shared that the wedding had ‘all the English trimmings’ complete with ‘a choir’ and ‘a series of uplifting hymns’.
Inside the church her son Conrad read a passage by Morgan Harper Nichols, an African American Christian writer, that ends with the words, while friend of the couple Charles Finch, read the Psalm of David, which had been printed in the order of service in David’s own handwriting.
The ring was a simple gold and diamond band from Charlotte Chesnais, which the couple chose together in Paris a few months earlier.
They had the words ‘amor vincit omnia’ -which translates as love conquers all – on the inside.
