Jordan Peterson claims Russia attacked Ukraine to stop the spread of ‘degenerate’ US culture wars that have spilled over into gender – as he rants about Biden’s Supreme Court pick not being able to define ‘what is a woman’
Conservative author and psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson claimed Russia was pushed to invade Ukraine over a threat of spreading degeneracy from the West linked to the appointment of America’s first, black female 대법원 자유.
On his latest opinion piece for the Daily Wire, Peterson said Vladimir 푸틴 is uniting his people and justifying the war in Ukraine with the argument that they must stop degeneracy fueled by culture wars on 성별.
‘Are we degenerate, in a profoundly threatening manner,’ Peterson asked. ‘I think the answer to that may well be yes.’
Part of that degeneracy, Peterson argues, stems from the America’s culture war on gender, which he said took the world stage when Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was unable to answer, ‘What is a woman,’ when asked during her confirmation hearing in March.
Peterson said that moment exemplified the idea that the west is ‘irrational’ for Russian’s and needed its ideas to be stopped.
The claim comes as the controversial psychologist continues to face backlash for doubling down on his attack on transgender star Elliot Page, refusing to acknowledge the actors transition to male and claiming Page was ‘converting’ 어린이.

박사. Jordan Peterson argued that culture wars over gender emboldened Russia to invade Ukraine in order to stope the spread of Western ‘degeneracy’

Peterson claimed the cultural wars were in clear view during the March confirmation hearings of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson (권리), who dodged the question ‘What is a woman,’ and whose appointment was touted as the nation’s first, black female justice
피터슨, an outspoken critic of normalizing transgender pronouns and identities, echoed his statements that gender was simple to understand and condemned Jackson for not understanding that during her confirmation hearings.
‘When the candidate was asked directly in the interview at the confirmation process the very straightforward question, ‘What is a woman’ – 어느, 부여 된, was a gotcha question which only goes to show the severity of our current level of derangement, and so is no excuse for failure to answer – 그녀가 말했다, ‘I’m not a biologist.’
‘That is not a good answer,’ 피터슨이 말했다.
Peterson claimed that by dodging the question in such a matter, Jackson was spreading an ‘irrational’ ideology that marked the U.S. as ‘degenerate.’
‘This means that you have become deranged,’ 그는 말했다. This means that you have become degenerate.
‘This means that all who fail to call you on your deranged degeneration have become rowers on the same doomed boat,’ he Peterson added. ‘This means that you and all those who do not call you out have become insane.’
He added that while Jackson was a qualified candidate to replace Stephen Breyer in America’s highest court, he said her appointment was ultimately marred by the Biden administration’s focus on sex and race.
Peterson claimed that once President Joe Biden announced his plans to make his Supreme Court nominee a black woman, the confirmation would be purely political rather than focusing on who is best qualified, pushing the narrative of a culture war.
‘The culture war is now truly part of why we have a war [우크라이나에서],’ 피터슨이 말했다.
‘It is certainly the case that we do not therefore have all the moral high ground… 사실로, how much of it we have at all is something rightly subject to the most serious debate.’

Many took to Twitter to criticize Peterson’s claims about the reason for the Ukraine invasion
많은, 하나, took issue with Peterson’s argument, calling out the apparent simplification of why Russia invaded the Ukraine in a bloody conflict that has killed tens of thousands since February.
Political pundit John Iadarola said Peterson’s latest claim should serve as the final ‘nail in the coffin’ for the author’s career long marred by controversy.
‘If in 2022 you still think of Jordan Peterson as an intellectual you’re probably beyond the point of rational thought,’ Iadarola tweeted, ‘but ‘Russia needed to invade Ukraine to stop it from becoming trans’ is an amazing nail in the coffin.’
Journalist Kurt Eichenwald echoed that Peterson’s claims were flawed and was among one of many who pointed out his mispronouncing of Holodomor, a Soviet-era famine that killed millions in the Ukraine in the 1930s.
‘I watched the most bizarre rant by Jordan Peterson about Putin’s invasion of Ukraine,’ Eichenwald tweeted.
‘Repeating what he says will kill brain cells, but a classic moment: He preens about his brilliance & sneers at others because they dont know about ‘the Holomodor.’It’s Holodomor, Einstein.’
One Twitter user with handle Faranak Amidi added: ‘Jordon Peterson’s recent rant about Russia having the right to invade Ukraine because of trans rights and gender theories in US!!! Shocking really!
Another Twitter user with the handle Gundalf, echoed worries over the opinion piece and questioned what exactly Peterson’s claims were.
‘Russia attacked Ukraine because Ukraine is historically part of their sphere of influence’ I don’t think that’s really wrong but it’s not a valid reason AND it has nothing to do with western ‘degeneracy,’ 그는 트윗했다. '처럼, was Putin scared that Ukraine would make Russia gay?’

Peterson had been suspended from Twitter after writing that Page had his ‘breast removed by a criminal physician, which the social media company flagged as hateful conduct

Peterson took issue with the Umbrella Academy actor showing off his abs, claiming that it would convert children into thinking they’re also transgender
Peterson’s latest claims comes days after he doubled down on his attack on Page, claiming Hollywood’s biggest 트랜스 젠더 star was ‘converting’ children by posing for pictures with his abs.
피터슨, who was suspended from 트위터 after saying Page had his breasts removed by a ‘criminal physician,’ reiterated his statement on Friday and said he needed to speak up following Page’s shirtless show on Esquire’s summer issue last month.
'보다, I would’ve left Ellen Page alone if she hadn’t been parading her new abs in a fashion magazine,’ Peterson told podcaster Kyle Kulinski on his Krystal Kyle & Friends show. ‘How many kids do you think she convinced to convert, 하나? A Thousand?’
The controversial psychologist also scoffed at his Twitter suspension and continued to refer to Page as female and using his former name, 가족들이 교통수단을 선택했다는 이유로 조롱을 받고 있다.
That is a practice referred to by transgender people as ‘dead-naming,’ which many consider offensive.
Kulinski, who said he leans towards the left of the political spectrum, appeared to take issue with Peterson’s claims about Page’s alleged influence on minors.
‘I think that with the trans community, it’s very similar to the gay community where back, when that first became a big issue, people thought, '오, if we talk about it, if it’s in magazines or whatever, we’re promoting kids to go down that path,’ Kulinski said.
‘But really what happened is people are who they are. They’re gay. So I don’t think you’re promoting people to do that,’
피터슨, getting annoyed, refuted Kulinski’s argument.
'아니, that’s not what happened,’ 그는 말했다. ‘You’re completely wrong.
‘You’re utterly wrong,’ he then yelled. ‘There’s nothing about that that’s right.’

피터슨 (권리) also got visibly angry and yelled at Kyle Kulinski, host of the Krystal Kyle & Friends show, after the podcaster disagreed with his claims

Regarding his Twitter suspension, Peterson said it was barely a punishment.
"잘, I don’t know if it got me in trouble, 알 잖아, I don’t think I’m in trouble, Twitter banned me, but I don’t consider that trouble,” Peterson said defiantly.
The tweet was sent by Peterson on June 22, 같은 날 Netflix 쇼 'The Umbrella Academy' 시즌 3’ 석방되었다.

Twitter flagged Peterson’s tweet claiming it ‘violated the Twitter Rules on hateful conduct.
This isn’t the first time Jordan has come under fire for controversial tweets.
Peterson briefly quit Twitter in May after saying a plus-size Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model was ‘not beautiful.’
The cover of the magazine showed Yumi Nu, a 25-year-old curvy model, and the first Asian plus-size model to be featured in Sports Illustrated.
'죄송합니다. Not beautiful. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance is going to change that,’ Peterson wrote.
After receiving backlash, Peterson claimed he deleted Twitter from his devices while his account remained active. It was the second time he had left the platform.
Prior to leaving the platform in May, Peterson had accumulated a list of controversies dating back to 2016.
