The festival, one of the UK’s leading book events, will return to ‘real life’ from October 2-10 with a line-up of fabulous speakers including fitness expert Joe Wicks, Jeffrey Archer, 조안나 럼리, Alexander McCall Smith, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and 의무 라인 creator Jed Mercurio.
It will be preceded by a series of online-only events in September featuring U.S.-based novelists Curtis Sittenfeld and Brit Bennett, John Lewis-Stempel, Cecelia Ahern, as well as sporting icons Michael Holding and Katherine Grainger in conversation. Two of the leading scientists behind the Oxford AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, Dame Sarah Gilbert and Dr Catherine Green, will be sharing their extraordinary story, as will nursing expert Dame Elizabeth Anionwu and computing pioneer Dame Stephanie Shirley.
In the stunning riverside setting of Phyllis Court Club, the Baillie Gifford Marquee will host more than 40 events that are also available to watch online.
Guest speakers will include Gyles Brandreth, Robert Webb, 엘리자베스 데이, John Simpson, Tom Allen, Kate Mosse, Alan Johnson, 개빈 & Stacey creator Ruth Jones, Dr Alex George, Candice Brathwaite, 세바스찬 포크스, Jane Garvey and Fi Glover — hosts of Radio 4’s Fortunately, Tom Bradby and former Friends Of The Earth director Jonathon Porritt.
The Laithwaites Stage at Henley Town Hall is the venue for leading novelists such as Costa-winner Monique Roffey, writing duo Nicci French, Rachel Edwards, James Scudamore, Jane Thynne, Robert Thorogood and Celia Walden, as well as non-fiction writers including Peter Hain, LBC presenter James O’Brien, How Not To Get Old author Jane Gordon, Sarah Sands, William Waldegrave, designer Jenny Packham and space expert David Whitehouse.
Speakers at Henley’s historic Christ Church include bestselling novelists Jill Mansell, Jane Fallon and Kiran Millwood Hargrave, Simon Mayo, 안야 힌드마치, Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell, royal expert Ingrid Seward, Simon Heffer and Everything But The Girl singer Tracey Thorn.
