EXCLUSIVE: Katie Price agrees not to use her phone to contact the outside world during four-week Priory stint to tackle drink and drug demons after horror car crash during illegal drive
Katie Price has agreed to not have any contact with the outside world via her mobile phone while she is in recovery in The Priory for four weeks.
An insider told MailOnline that friends have been trying to contact the former glamour model, 43, yet since her arrival at the famed rehabilitation centre, she is no longer reachable as she prepares to tackle her drink and drug demons.
The news comes just hours after Katie was spotted for the first time since she crashed her BMW while double the drink-drive limit after leaving her home to allegedly hunt for drugs during an all-night alcohol and cocaine bender.
Earlier in the day, Katie pleaded guilty to three charges of drink driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance at Crawley Magistrates Court.
Katie was told that her sentencing had been deferred for 11 weeks until December 15 to allow her to have treatment at The Priory and speak to the probation service.
Chair of the bench Julie Hutton told her she could leave but warned her against driving in the interim, saying: ‘You are free to go and good luck at the Priory.’
Sources revealed that Katie will not be contacting the outside world during her stint in rehab, in what is a typical move for such a recovery programme. MailOnline has contacted representatives for Katie for comment.
The mother-of-five was pictured in the passenger seat of a car driven by her father on her way to The Priory clinic in London on Wednesday afternoon, days after she flipped the BMW near her Sussex home before dawn.

Shock: In April, Price mocked her driving ban in a YouTube video by sitting in the driving seat of car and pretending to drive – but noting that she was on her own land
MailOnline understands Katie who was already serving a six-month driving ban, had left her property at 5am to pick up more drugs. It was reported on Thursday that she got behind the wheel after she had an argument with her boyfriend, Carl Woods.
Prosecutors dropped a drug-driving charge in light of her guilty drink-driving plea. It came just days after family and friends rallied round her following her arrest.
A source told The Sun: ‘Katie and Carl had a massive row and things escalated. She’s been under a lot of pressure over the past few weeks and it seems she just snapped. Katie went off the grid for eight hours as friends tried to track her down.’

Evidence: A photograph tweeted by a police officer showed a damaged BMW lying on its side across both lanes of a country road near West Grinstead yesterday, its front lodged in the hedgerow
Katie, from Horsham, West Sussex, who was already banned from driving, flipped her car on a country road at 6.20am near West Grinstead.
After being rescued by a local resident, she was arrested on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs – and tested positive for cocaine.
The model told police: ‘I was just going to my friend’s house. I know I shouldn’t. I’ve been banned four times. I took drugs. I should not be driving. I admit it all.’
Price could still face jail when she is sentenced in December, but she checked into the Priory yesterday. The model has no driving licence after being disqualified for two years in October 2019 – and has been banned from the roads six times in total.
Standing by: Her fiancé Carl Woods said on Instagram that he will ‘always be there’ for the ‘rough diamond’
Leaving: Katie, covered with a blanket, leaves Crawley Magistrates’ Court in West Sussex on Wednesday
The three charges were using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance; driving while unfit to drive through drink; and driving while disqualified. Price had been taken to hospital but is not thought to have been badly injured.
Carl posted a statement on his Instagram on Tuesday, saying ‘Katie is a rough diamond, she has her imperfections, however they make her perfect to me’.
Ms Hutton then handed Price an interim driving ban, warning her: ‘We regularly send people to prison for driving whilst disqualified.’
