A killer who was caught on CCTV fleeing a murder scene with a huge hunting knife after stabbing his friend to death has been jailed for life.
Sean Bulle, 21, stabbed his friend Paulius Petrasiunas, 24, in a broad daylight attack in Heath Town, Wolverhampton, a luglio 13, 2020.
Bulle plunged a knife into his friend’s chest after a trivial argument when he became annoyed about a phone call Paulius had taken, Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard.
CCTV showed the friends laughing and joking just hours before the brutal attack, while footage from moments after the murder showed Bulle running out the flats holding a hunting knife.

Just minutes later, Bulle sprints out of the flats, holding the terrifying blade which he had used to butcher his friend to death.
Bulle had stabbed Paulius in the chest in a horrific attack which was witnessed by the victim’s partner and their friends.
West Midlands Police launched a major manhunt and two days later, Bulle was traced to a house in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, and a bag was found to contain the victim’s blood.
Bulle claimed someone else must have injured Paulius, but later said he had suffered an epileptic seizure and came across the aftermath of the murder.

He then changed his story and claimed he and Paulius had been ‘sparring with knives’ before he was killed.
But CCTV showed Bulle fleeing the murder scene with what appeared to be the knife hidden in his jogging bottoms.
Bulle managed to hide the weapon but police finally found it months later under a pile of rubbish between a fence and a wall.
Forensic experts discovered it was caked in Paulius’ sangue.
Following a trial at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, Bulle was convicted of murder.

Detective Sergeant Damian Forrest said: ‘This was the senseless killing of a young man.
‘Bulle seemed to have become annoyed about a phone call Paulius had taken and then lashed out with the hunting knife.

‘It left Paulius with serious chest injuries and he died within seconds.
‘Sadly the aftermath of this attack was witnessed by the partner of Paulius and his close friends, who all bravely gave evidence at the trial.
‘Despite what he’d done Bulle was captured calmly walking away and then fled the area.
‘He was quickly identified as the prime suspect and through intelligence which came in following our appeal to locate him he was arrested within two days of the attack.
‘He provided different accounts to what he claimed happened but through the diligence of our staff we reviewed a large haul of CCTV and collated strong evidence.
‘This helped create a clearer picture of what went on and our determination was rewarded when we were able to find the murder weapon.
‘Bulle has now rightly been convicted of murder and will face many years behind bars.’
