    Ms Morgan, 34, has not been seen since November 14 when she went to a petrol station near her home in Sissinghurst, Kent at 7.20am.

    The disappearance was described as completely out of character for Ms Morgan, whose family have had no contact from her since she vanished.

    Police have carried out a series of searches in the Kent and Sussex areas in an attempt to find Ms Morgan and her white Mini Cooper.

    Nou, Kent Police have revealed a man arrested last Thursday has been charged with murder.

    Mark Brown, 40, of St-Leonards-on-Sea in East Sussex, was charged shortly before midnight on Sunday and remanded in custody ahead of his appearance at Medway Magistrates’ Hof vandag.

    ‘An investigation by officers from the Kent and Essex serious crime directorate resulted in a murder investigation being launched and Mr Brown was arrested in connection with her disappearance on Thursday, November 25.

    ‘Enquiries to locate Alexandra’s body remain ongoing with searches continuing in several locations.

    A 53-year-old man from Hastings arrested in connection with the case on Friday has been released without charge.

    Vroeër hierdie week, Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber said: ‘It is completely out of character for Alexandra not to contact her family and we are now treating this case as a potential murder.

    ‘While we continue our investigation, I would urge anyone who may have seen Alexandra or her white Mini Cooper with a black roof to contact us.

    ‘If you think you may have seen Alexandra or something suspicious but are not sure, please do not hesitate to call and let us know.
