Moment female petrol station boss is attacked by a thug on a moped when she tried to close off the pumps as fuel ran out
A ガソリン station boss has revealed how she was taken to hospital with a concussion after being brutally attacked and racially abused on a forecourt by a raging moped thug demanding fuel.
Nerali Patel, 38, works at a BP petrol station in Belsize Park, north ロンドン and was attacked with a petrol nozzle by the helmet-wearing thug on Sunday at 2pm.
Shocking CCTV footage from the scene shows the mother-of-two being knocked to the ground by the man, who then had to be held back as he repeatedly tried to attack her after she fell.
Ms Patel said the man had demanded fuel and called her a ‘p**i’ when she said there was none left.
Police arrived later to arrest the man, with Ms Patel saying she suffered a concussion in the assault.
News of the shocking attack comes as more fighting broke out on Britain’s ‘Wild West’ petrol forecourts today as drivers threw punches and even pulled knives.
An hour before she was attacked, Ms Patel said she had to break up several brawls between motorists, including one which saw a moped rider launch a flying kick at another man.

Ms Patel told MailOnline: ‘We had a fair few on Sunday, moped guys grabbing each other, punching each other and kicking each other. An hour later I was assaulted
‘We have had a lot of verbal abuse thrown at us. I think it’s going to get worse. We’re only getting a few hours kip. Some of the staff are sleeping in their vehicles on the forecourt. I don’t know how much longer we can keep going like this.
‘I’ve never seen it like this ever. They’re panic-buying. We had a delivery last night as expected. We have no issues with deliveries.
‘We had a full tanker last night but we’ll run out in a day and a half. If you don’t need the fuel don’t queue up. Don’t follow like sheep. Fill up as normal. Use your common sense. If they carried on as normal, then we wouldn’t be in this situation.’
Describing the attack on her, 彼女は言いました: ‘By Sunday afternoon we were running out of unleaded so we’d already put a cap on certain vehicles.
‘I made a decision to stop serving new customers and we put up signs that said we only had diesel.
‘We had two moped guys waiting 30/40 minutes so they went to fill up. When they did, these other two moped guys suddenly just drove through the bollards that we’d put up blocking the petrol station.
‘I had already put the bags on the nozzles to show they haven’t got petrol left. One started to demand fuel from the pumps. He started shouted and swearing ‘I’ve come for the petrol so I’m gonna get the petrol’.
‘He called me a f***ing p**i and said ‘I know that you are lying and you have got fuel, you’re a f***ing scumbag’.
‘He grabbed the nozzle and I tried to get it back. I told him there’s no point, that there was no fuel in it. He didn’t listen and then whacked me with the nozzle and pushed me over. He struck me twice and I’d fallen over so people came to the scene and tried to restrain him.
‘He kept trying to go for me. Usually it’s just words, no one really pays attention, but everyone came to restrain him when he knocked me down.’

Ms Patel, a mother to twin five-year-old boy and girl, 追加: ‘The police were there within five to 10 minutes.’
She spoke today as it emerged that key workers could be given access to fuel.
しかしながら, the petrol station boss warned it would be difficult to monitor who was a key worker and who was not.
彼女は言いました: ‘People try it on. We aren’t able to check if they’re actually key workers. They’re all flashing their badges but they’re in private vehicles. The priority for us would be an ambulance or a fire brigade.
‘We had a guy come this morning saying he was from BT, and he asked if he could get some fuel. I had to tell him no.
‘We have to judge people individually but it’s hard for us. You don’t know who’s telling the truth and who’s not.
‘We had a £30 cap but people ignored it. They said they lived in Sheffield or somewhere else and £30 wouldn’t get them out of London. They’ll say whatever works.’
A Met Police spokesman said: 「警察は 13:48hrs on Sunday, 26 September following reports that a man had been assaulted at a petrol station on Haverstock Hill, NW3. Officers attended.

‘Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.’

Drivers threw punches and even pulled knives as violent rows broke out in the long queues for fuel across the UK today – but Grant Shapps has insisted there are ‘tentative’ signs the crisis will ease this week as long as panic-buying subsides.
Boris Johnson has been urged to stop ‘hiding away’ and address the nation as his own MPs slammed his decision not to bring in soldiers to deliver fuel immediately to ‘regain public confidence’ as petrol stations started rationing fuel sales at £30.
With no sign of the Prime Minister, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps today claimed the pressure on filling stations is beginning to ease and insisted the Army would remain on standby despite admitting the queues will not disappear yet.
しかしながら, Britain’s fuel crisis showed no sign of abating today as drivers again queued through the night and new video has emerged of two men punching and kicking each other across a London Shell station in a row about whose turn it was to fill up. Two women yelling ‘what the f*** are you doing’ broke up the punch-up as one of the fighters pointed at his foe and yelled: ‘He stole my place’.
Amid widespread scenes of enormous queueing across Britain’s forecourts, footage emerged of a man holding what appears to be a knife shouting at a driver outside a petrol station in Welling, ロンドン南東部. The video then shows the car ramming into the alleged knifeman, who is then carried for several yards on the bonnet.
The brawls broke out as motorists reported queues at 11pm, 3am and 5.30am across the UK as the Government was accused of being ‘asleep at the wheel’ and critics questioned claims within Whitehall that the crisis will be over within two to three days.
