    ‘My mental health throughout most of my pregnancy was fine, however I did struggle towards the end realising how much weight I had gained and not recognising myself.

    Alex welcomed her daughter in May 2020 – but found herself feeling uncomfortable with her body.

    Alex decided that enough was enough and began to get in shape by hitting the gym and overhauling her diet.

    ‘At first I was really strict on my diet. I probably went too hard and developed somewhat of an eating disorder. I’ve now worked out a healthy relationship with food and exercise.

    ‘Before I was only eating three small meals a day. Now I have larger meals and snacks.

    ‘I don’t really count macros, or calories. I just try to eat mainly whole foods, regularly.
