A mother who ate fast food throughout her pregnancy shed over 38kgs in nine months by swapping cardio for weight training.
Alex Moore, 24, 从 Adelaide, gained more than 31kgs while pregnant with her one-year-old daughter Alora, after spending four months eating McDonald’s everyday.
Weighing more than 83kgs, Alex decided to get into shape by swapping burgers for protein-rich meals and embarking on a ‘strict military fitness regime’ including two hour gym visits and 6km walks daily.
After shedding 38kgs in weight, Alex has now embarked on a career as an 粉丝 model and has amassed more than 71,000 Instagram上的关注者.

‘I really stacked on the weight – I was working long hours as a dental nurse and would eat McDonald’s at least once a day,’ 亚历克斯, a former dental nurse, 说过.
‘I was starting early. I’d usually get hash brown, egg and bacon muffin and hot chocolate for breakfast.
‘And then for lunch I’d order a Quarter Pounder or Big Mac meal, a chocolate sundae and extra chicken nuggets with mayo.

‘My mental health throughout most of my pregnancy was fine, however I did struggle towards the end realising how much weight I had gained and not recognising myself.’
Alex welcomed her daughter in May 2020 – but found herself feeling uncomfortable with her body.
她说: ‘I didn’t want to go out anywhere to show her off, I just wanted to hide away.
‘I felt guilty I’d given birth to a beautiful baby girl but I was so embarrassed about how I looked so never wanted my picture taken with her.

‘All I constantly heard was, “Your body will never be the same” 和 “You will always have a mum tum, learn to love it”.
‘I didn’t want to be like that, so I used it as motivation.’
Alex decided that enough was enough and began to get in shape by hitting the gym and overhauling her diet.
她说: ‘I worked my a** off at the gym going at 5am every morning and going for 6km walks every day.’
Despite being in better physical shape than before she had children, Alex says her meals are now bigger than what they were before – but packed with nutritious ingredients.

‘At first I was really strict on my diet. I probably went too hard and developed somewhat of an eating disorder. I’ve now worked out a healthy relationship with food and exercise.
‘Before I was only eating three small meals a day. Now I have larger meals and snacks.
‘I don’t really count macros, or calories. I just try to eat mainly whole foods, regularly.

Lunch: Two pieces of toast with avocado and chilli flakes

Snack: Protein bar, 酸奶, 水果, protein shake

‘In the afternoon I snack on a yoghurt but I try to listen to my body. I no longer turn down opportunities to eat out, and enjoy treats without guilt.’

After losing more than 38kgs the mother has even decided to swap her career in dental nursing for the glamorous life of an OnlyFans model.
她说: ‘I saw it as a good source of income being a single mum having my daughter majority of the time. Now I can spend my days with Alora, and still make a good income.’
Alex shared a video documenting her weight loss to her 248,000 TikTok followers, who showered the mum-of-one with praise.
One TikTok user said: ‘This is what hard work and discipline looks like queens! Good job mumma’.

Speaking about how her journey may inspire others, Alex added: ‘I really want to show other mums what you can achieve when you set goals and are determined enough to achieve them.
‘I also want people to know that it’s important not to neglect self-care just because you’re a mother – you’re allowed to treat yourself and do things just for yourself.’
