A mother says her 圣诞 was ruined by a ‘cowboy’ Halfords worker who wrecked her Mercedes after damaging the fuse box during a dash cam fitting.
Sefia Rashid went to get the gadget installed at the White City retail park in Old Trafford, 大曼彻斯特, 在星期一, 十二月 13.
But a few days later the heater on her sixth-month-old Mercedes packed up while she was on the way to Winter Wonderland, leaving her windows steamed up and her two children freezing cold.
Ms Rashid said the problem was diagnosed by an AA mechanic, who ‘looked at me and said ”who on earth fitted your dashcam?”

The mechanic said the ‘cowboy job’ had ‘buggered up the fuse box’, according to Ms Rashid.
‘He said that the wires going into the fuses looked like a rat had been chewing them,’ 她解释.
‘It could have caused a fire or anything. If I had continued to drive and if it was summer I wouldn’t have released the heater was broken. It’s just not acceptable.’
Ms Rashid said her bad experience began the day she dropped off her car at Halfords for a one-hour pre-booked slot to get a dash cam fitted.
She said that she rang multiple times to check what time her car would be ready – and that every time she did they said it would be an extra half an hour.
But she had to use her car to pick up her children from school – so arrived at White City for 2.45pm – nearly three hours after she dropped the Mercedes off.
But when she got there a member of staff was still in the car – and wasn’t able to leave.

代替, she had to pay for her friend to take a taxi to two different schools to pick her children up.
Ms Rashid said Halfords charged her £80 for the dash cam and £35 for the fitting.
然而, she ended up spending over £70 on taxis, and missing out on Christmas experiences such as Winter Wonderland, as a result of the damage.
A Halfords spokesman said: ‘We take services and customer service very seriously, helping thousands of customers every week.
‘On this occasion we have clearly fallen short of our high standards and are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, especially over the festive period.
‘We are pleased to have reached a resolution with Ms Rashid and will be compensating her the cost of the remedial work, travel and the missed family events.’
