Norfolk Broads boat skipper, 36, is Tasered and arrested after attacking police with a fire extinguisher having failed to successfully flee on his 10mph craft when they tried to quiz him about running aground
A Norfolk Broads boat skipper was tasered and arrested on Monday after attacking police officers with a fire extinguisher having failed to flee on a 10mph craft.
Emergency services were called to Cantley near Great Yarmouth on the famous waterways after reports that a man had run aground at 1am.
하나, when the lifeboat crew and coastguard arrived and quizzed him, the stranded sailor abused and threatened them as they launched a rescue bid.
The man then managed to sail off in his 10mph cruiser, with police giving chase.

Officers were unable to stop the boat, but successfully climbed on board.
그 시점에서, the sailor allegedly fired an extinguisher at the officers as they were climbing on board to stop him from going any further.
Two officers were injured in the incident. One had a head wound and the other received cuts to his hand.
The incident ended with the suspect being Tasererd.
He was later named as Tom Smith, 36, and is reportedly homeless.
He is due in court to face charges of assaulting emergency workers and causing criminal damage, and is due to appear at Norwich magistrates’ court at a later date.
The Norfolk Broads national park – one of Britain’s most visited attractions – has more than 125 miles of navigable, lock-free waterways.
There are seven rivers and more than 60 broads that wind through the beautiful countryside and picturesque towns and villages.
The Broads became a popular location for yacht racing in the 1900s, and today they are visited by some eight million people every year.
