Many of the officials saw their pay frozen in a year that saw the government still scrambling to cope with the pandemic, and the economy struggling to recover.

Sarah Healey, the permanent secretary at the Digital, 문화, Media and Sport department, saw her pay band rise from £160,000-165,000 to £165,000-£170,000.
