Describing the first assault, Judge Anthony Potter said: ‘You approached her in a quite disgraceful manner. She had not invited this in any sense.

‘You made sexually-charged remarks and began to thrust yourself against her. You went further and put your hand inside her coat and down towards her private area.

The court heard Sharman, of Warwick, had never had a sexual relationship when he attacked both women in 2019.

Prosecutor Glyn Samuel said: ‘It was arranged that a man who had a number of health problems should be visited by an occupational therapist to assess his needs.

‘When Sharman turned up, the man’s wife let him in, and she said that while he was dealing with her husband that morning, he acted in a completely professional manner.

The court heard that when Sharman left, the patient’s wife got undressed and got into a spare room bed for a rest.

A few minutes later Sharman rang the doorbell and the woman put on a coat before answering it.

Sharman told her he had left his phone in the house and barged inside before the woman asked him to leave.

He then stood behind the woman and pushed his private parts against her.

Mr Samuel told the court the woman told him ‘no’, but he began to thrust against her.
