摩根码头: Bond is about the last real man standing in Hollywood

摩根码头: James Bond is about the last real man standing in Hollywood and if the woke warriors dare make him a woman I’m going to campaign for Wonder Woman to be a man

They used to say the only two absolute certainties in life were death and taxes.

But we can now add a third nailed-down guarantee to the list: the woke brigade will ruin everything that’s good or fun in life.

占士邦 is one of my all-time favourite movie characters, along with Rocky Balboa, Maverick and Michael Corleone.

对我来说, 007 epitomises everything a man should strive to be: he’s handsome, 智能, 勇敢, 艰难的, eloquent, witty, suave, sophisticated, determined, and ruthless when he needs to be.

There’s more: he barely ages, he drives Aston Martins (the world’s coolest cars), he dresses immaculately, he cheats death more often than the most reckless cat, and he kills a lot of very bad people in the pursuit of protecting the good guys.

Little wonder that for decades, most (真实的) men have yearned to be like Bond, and most (真实的) women have yearned to bed him.

From Sean Connery to Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan to Daniel Craig, the men chosen to play Bond have exuded the steely-eyed, testosterone-fuelled, deadly charm required to keep the franchise at the very top of its Hollywood game for six decades.

They all understood very clearly that what the vast majority of people on Planet Earth want from their James Bond is an uncompromising womanizing assassin who’d rather shoot himself than drink from the woke fountain of insufferable virtue-signalling bullsh*t.

但, with a chilling inevitability, the wokies have now come for 007, and they present a more lethal threat to him than Oddjob, Goldfinger or Jaws ever did.

Sir Keir Starmer, leader of the UK’s opposition Labour Party, today announced, without any prompting, that he wants the next James Bond to be a woman.

Asked by my old ITV show Good Morning Britain if he had a favourite Bond of the seven actors who’ve played him, Starmer replied: ‘I don’t have a favourite Bond, but I do think it’s time for a female Bond.

是, you heard that right; one of Europe’s most senior politicians is publicly advocating for the most famous male spy in history to have a sex change.

He had no reason to do this.

Nobody asked him to say it, there was no political pressure on him to say it, 的确, the current Bond, 丹尼尔克雷格, came out last week and emphatically said that 007 should remain a man.

‘Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, but for a woman?’ 他说, which seemed a very good and nuanced point to me.

His argument was endorsed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who worked on the script for the latest Bond movie, 没时间死.

‘I think Bond is James Bond,’ 她说. ‘We just need to cook up someone to rival him.

And they were both backed by Barbara Broccoli, who now runs the Bond movie empire.

确切地.

换句话说, putting a less sensitively worded spin on their advice: create your own bloody spies, 女士们.

But Sir Keir Starmer didn’t get the common-sense memo and has now ignited a totally unnecessary new firestorm of speculation over whether Bond should be female.

What’s laughably ironic about this is that he himself seems woefully unable to define what a woman even is.

At Labour’s annual conference this week, Starmer was asked if it’s transphobic to say only women have a cervix.

This followed a controversy that I was personally involved in.

在八月, one of Starmer’s fellow Labour Members of Parliament, Rosie Duffield, ‘likeda tweet by me in which I responded, ‘Do you mean women?’ after CNN tweeted a health story about cancer screening and used the phrase ‘individuals with a cervix.

When Duffield was promptly called transphobic, 她回应: ‘I’m a ‘transphobefor knowing that only women have a cervix… ?!’

当然, nothing that I or Ms Duffield said was transphobic, and we’re both on record as supporting transgender rights.

But that didn’t stop her being ripped to pieces by the woke mob, to the extent that she was unable to attend her own party conference this week for fears over her safety after threats from trans activists.

When her leader Starmer was asked on the BBC if it was transphobic to say only women have a cervix, 他回答: '好, it is something that shouldn’t be said. It is not right.

But when he was pushed by the presenter, Andrew Marr, as to why it shouldn’t be said, he couldn’t come up with an answer.

And the UK’s Health Secretary Sajid Javid attacked him afterwards, saying Starmer’s remarks were a ‘total denial of scientific fact.

所以, the man now calling for James Bond to be a woman has no apparent clue as to the biological make-up of a woman.

It’s beyond parody!

We’ve seen similar gender politics nonsense in America, notably with the American Civil Liberties Union being forced to apologise recently after it altered a quote by Ruth Bader Ginsburg to replace the word ‘womenwith ‘people.

This is a group founded to defend free speech, yet on the first anniversary of the Supreme Court Justice’s death, it gender-neutralised part of her best known speech about abortion.

在里面, Ginsberg said: ‘The decision whether or not to bear a child is central to a woman’s life, to her well-being and dignity. It is a decision she must make for herself. When the government controls that decision for her, she is being treated as less than a full adult human responsible for her own choices.

But in the version the ACLU shared on Twitter, it deleted the word ‘women’, saying instead: ‘The decision whether or not to bear a child is central to a [person’s] 生活, 至 [其] well-being and dignity. When the government controls that decision for [人], [they are] being treated as less than a fully adult human responsible for [其] own choices.

As Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University, 说过: ‘Ginsburg herself would have had little patience with such woke revisionism.

And just yesterday, the CDC issued a new covid vaccine advisory to pregnant women in which it repeatedly called them ‘pregnant people.

This systematic war on women, and the right of women to be called women, should be the primary focus for all feminists, female and male.

代替, we’re seeing vast amounts of feminist energy devoted to trying to destroy James Bond by making him a woman, including from male actors like Chris Hemsworth who said it was ‘long overdue.

Even Pierce Brosnan backs the idea, enthusing: ‘I think we’ve watched the guys do it (play Bond) for the last 40 年份, 避让, 伙计们, and put a woman up there. I think it would be exhilarating, it would be exciting.

I note that he never said any of this when he was raking in tens of millions of dollars playing Bond as a man.

One of Brosnan’s predecessors, the late great Sir Roger Moore, explained why it would be madness.

‘That wasn’t what Ian Fleming wrote,’ 他说, 简单地. ‘It’s about being true to the character.

And isn’t that the bottom line with this debate?

You can no more have a female Bond than a male lead in a female-led movie franchise.

Can you even begin to imagine the howls of outrage if the next Wonder Woman movie was suddenly announced as Wonder Man?

The collective feminist spittle of fury would launch tsunamis from Australia to Antarctica.

And I would agree with them.

It would be utterly preposterous to have Wonder Man replace Wonder Woman, just as it would be to utterly preposterous to see James Bond turned into Jane Bond.

So back off our 007.

He’s virtually the last real man standing in a Hollywood neutered by the emasculating cult of illiberal liberal fascistsand I’ll fight until the last drop of my blood to save him from the woke wastrels.
