Police arrest girl, 14, en seun, 15, for murder after 46-year-old man was stabbed to death in Essex park
A 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murdering after a man died in a park.
Terry Leeks, 46, was stabbed in Northlands Park, in Basildon, Essex, in the early hours of July 11.
Investigating officers today arrested a 14-year-old girl from Wickford on suspicion of murder.
A 15-year-old boy was re-arrested on suspicion of murder.
Essex Police said both are in custody.

Police said Terry was found injured in Northlands Park, Basildon, at around 1.35am on Sunday, Julie 11.
He was taken to hospital where he later died, Essex Police said.
A forensic post-mortem found he had sustained a stab wound to his stomach.
Op Augustus 17, which would have been Terry’s 47th birthday, his parents paid tribute to him.

Essex Police today said it is continuing to appeal for anyone who has any information about Terry’s death to contact the force or Crimestoppers.
Detective Chief Inspector Louise Metcalfe, who’s leading the investigation, bygevoeg: ‘We’re making good progress with our investigation but I believe there are still people out there with information about what happened who haven’t come forward yet – either to us or anonymously to Crimestoppers.
‘Do it for Terry and do it for his family.’
