Police launch desperate search for missing girl, 18, who went missing last night as temperatures plunged

  • Abbie Owens, 18, last seen yesterday evening on Alpha Street in Bootle 
  • Described as white, 5ft10in tall, medium build and with long blond hair 
  • Was wearing black baggy jogging bottoms and long-sleeved white crop top when last seen
  • Anyone with information should contact Merseyside Police, ring 101 or Missing People on 116 000
  • Police have launched a desperate search for a teenage girl who went missing last night.

    Abbie Owens, 18, was last seen yesterday evening on Alpha Street in Bootle at around 7.40pm.

    Concerns are growing for the teenager, who went missing as temperatures plunged. 

    The missing 18-year-old is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, of medium build and with long blond hair and brown eyes. 

    When she was last seen she was wearing black baggy jogging bottoms with a long-sleeved white crop top.

    She was also wearing a black bomber jacket with blue and white Jordan trainers. 

    The teenager was carrying a grey bag with silver studs.

    Merseyside Police said they are carrying out ‘extensive enquiries’ as they search for the missing girl.   

    Police have asked anyone who sees her to contact them via their website.
