アン王女: 387 engagements
プリンスチャールズ: 385 engagements
The Earl of Wessex: 204
The family’s work is monitored by royal watcher Tim O’Donovan, who forensically tracks the type and number of engagements each member carries out.
It was first reported in The Times.
Anne has long been known as the hardest-working royal, although Charles took the top spot in 2019 そして 2020.
Both carried out more engagements than they did in 2020 when lockdowns and global travel restrictions limited the work they could do in person.
However the figures are still far lower than they were in 2019, when Prince Charles racked up 521 engagements and Princess Anne 506.
That year the Earl and Countess of Wessex totaled 308 そして 236, それぞれ.
Part of the reason for the lower totals is the continued restrictions to overseas travel, which makes royal tours more difficult.
Official visits are often jam-packed with engagements, driving up the overall number at the end of the year.
ソフィー, a trusted confidante of the Queen, has risen in prominence within the Royal Family in recent years, following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to quit their royal duties and Prince Andrew being forced to retire from public life.
In third place is the Duke of Cambridge, と 235 official duties. 歳の時に 95, the Queen still managed 184 engagements, the majority of which were carried out by phone or video link, allowing the Queen to remain ensconced in Windsor Castle for much of the year
The Countess of Wessex was particularly visible in the weeks after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.
Joined by her daughter Lady Louise Windsor, she visited palace staff and spoke movingly about the hole Prince Philip’s death had left in their lives.
On the occasions when the Queen did step out in public, she was often accompanied by a member of her family, with Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, アン王女, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge all joining Her Majesty on engagements.
The Queen also prioritised important occasions. 六月に, she travelled to Cornwall to meet leaders at the G7 summit. 10月中, she hosted a reception to mark the Global Investment Summit, ウィンザー城で.
However there were also concerns for Her Majesty’s health and wellbeing in the latter half of the year.

Between October 19 and November 17, the Queen pulled out of several engagements including the Church of England’s national assembly and the Remembrance Day commemoration at the Cenotaph.
Mr O’Donovan, of Berkshire, uses the Court Circular — the official daily list of royal engagements — to compile a tally of every single duty undertaken by each member of the family, be it the Queen opening Parliament or the Duchess of Gloucester at an exhibition of basket-weaving.
He notes them all down, producing a quarterly total as he goes. Come the year end, Mr O’Donovan produces an annual table of results, which he then sends to the editor of The Times.
Some engagements might involve little more than turning up; others demand much preparation, not to mention a long journey.
And the Court Circular makes no mention of illness, pregnancy, red boxes or the paperwork and private meetings which fill every royal diary.
