Meghan’s friend Priyanka Chopra laughs as Jack Whitehall brands her husband ‘The Meghan Markle of pop’ for breaking up the Jonas Brothers in Netflix’s Family Roast
The comedy special sees brothers and bandmates Joe, 32, Kevin, 34, and Nick Jonas, 29, ridiculed by their partners and famous faces.
And Priyanka, 39, was seen giggling when the 33-year-old British comedian called her husband Nick ‘The Meghan Markle of pop’ for breaking up the ‘Sucker’ band.
He quipped: ‘October 30th, 2013…the music industry’s 9/11…The day of the break-up of my heart into thousands of tiny pieces.
‘I’m not gonna stand up here and play the blame game. We could be here all night going, “Oh Nick said this. Nick did that.” No, it was a mutual decision to break up so that Nick could focus on his solo career. No one’s to blame except Nick whose fault it definitely was.’

It was seemingly in reference to the ex ‘Suits’ actress and her husband Prince Harry stepping down as senior members of the British Royal family.
The ‘Quantico’ star first met Meghan at the ELLE Women in Television dinner in January 2016, and they’ve been good friends ever since.

‘Of course, it has to do with racism, it’s an obvious reason. But the beauty of Meg is that she’s been herself through all of this.
‘A lot of people got to know her after everything [once she started dating Harry], but I knew her before and she’s the same chick.
‘Now that she’s got a real platform, she talks about the same things she always did.
‘We spent hours speaking about the difference that influence and dialogue can make to the world before this whole thing happened, so what you see now is authentically her. She’s always been the girl wanting to move the needle.’
In July, Priyanka appeared to ‘ignore’ Prince William and Kate Middleton as they were clapped into the Royal Box at Wimbledon.
In a clip which emerged at the time, the Bollywood actress opted to fiddle with her scarf as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took their seats to rapturous applause from the crowd ahead of the Women’s Singles Final.
Further photos showed Priyanka appearing to look away from the royal couple while standing on Centre Court balcony as they mingled with VIPs after the match.
Several royal watchers suggested it was a snub after the Duchess of Sussex, 39, made remarks about Kate during her Oprah Winfrey interview.
Meghan claimed her sister-in-law made her cry and ‘hurt her feelings’ during a discussion about flower girl dresses ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry – after it was previously suggested it was the other way round.
She also claimed ‘conversations’ were had with a member of the Royal Family about the colour of Meghan and Harry’s son Archie’s skin.
It’s possible Priyanka didn’t see the Cambridges enter the Royal Box, or that she wasn’t aware of the etiquette to applaud, however several royal fans suggested her abstaining from clapping was intentional.
