    Now Queen’s Greatest Hits compilation has been named the UK’s most-streamed album from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

    It topped a list of the 200 albums from the Seventies, Eighties and Nineties played most frequently on internet music services such as Spotify, according to data provided by the Official Charts Company.

    Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 album Rumours, which features songs including Dreams, Go Your Own Way and Don’t Stop, was the second most streamed from across the three decades. Oasis’s 1995 album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? – with such hits as Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back In Anger – was third.

    The Manchester rock band’s 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe was also on the most streamed list, in sixth place.

    The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Nirvana also had two original albums in the list’s Top 40, while Meatloaf and Bob Marley boasted three.

    Simon Mayo, a presenter at Greatest Hits Radio, for which the list was compiled, gesê: ‘This is a fascinating insight into the albums that resonate the most with audiences today. These are the records that have really stood the test of time.’

    Lauren Kreisler, of the Official Charts Company, gesê: ‘For these albums to find relevancy and a generation of new listeners through streaming platforms all these decades later… that’s how you know you’ve got a classic on your hands.’
