    Emma Dalton, from Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, currently holds the record eating a gut-busting 325 sprouts in 36 minute in 2016.

    Wayne Sherlock, from Drumconrath, Ierland, beat the world record for the number of sprouts eaten in 60 seconds managing 33.

    Max said: ‘It was much harder than I thought, partially because I didn’t cook them that well.

    ‘Instead of being roasted with some flavour, most of them were microwaved which made them bland but also the texture of them was really mushy!

    ‘But also partly because of flavour fatigue of eating the same thing without any change-up of flavour.

    ‘They also got cold pretty quickly and the texture was pretty bland and mushy because of the way I cooked them.

    Max vowed to ‘nevereat a sprout again after he spent 28 minute en 33 seconds scoffing them.
