Surrey Police has ridiculed a burglary suspect after catching him in a bright yellow onesie and saying they have ‘eliminated Pudsey and Big Bird’ from their enquiries.
Officers were called to a report of a burglary on Station Road in Ashford at about 3.40am today.

‘RPU detained the two suspects who had just broken in to a local restaurant. We have eliminated Pudsey and Big Bird from our enquiries, but Laa-Laa is a Prime Suspect.’
A Surrey Police spokesperson confirmed a 26-year-old man from Woking and a 35-year-old man from Addlestone were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
According to the force, they were taken to hospital for check-ups after the officers suspected them of being under the influence of drugs and remain in custody after being discharged.
The stolen items were returned to their owner.
