    Shoppers have been taking to social media to report issues with their online orders and deliveries after the supermarket’s system went down yesterday morning.

    The supermarket initially said it was experiencing ‘an issuewith its website and app on Saturday before confirming there had been a deliberate ‘interference’ 今天.

    However the retail giant assured users that their information had not been impacted and it was taking action to ensure ‘all data stays safe’.

    It is not yet clear how widespread the issues are or how many customers have been impacted.

    A Tesco spokesperson said: ‘Since yesterday, we’ve been experiencing disruption to our online grocery website and app.

    ‘An attempt was made to interfere with our systems which has caused problems with the search function on the site.

    ‘We’re working hard to fully restore all services and apologise for the inconvenience.

    ‘There is no reason to believe that this issue impacts customer data and we continue to take ongoing action to make sure all data stays safe.

    Tesco posted a tweet on Saturday which told customers: ‘We’re experiencing an issue with our website and app and are working hard to get things back up and running. We apologise for any inconvenience.

    Social media users have since been taking to Twitter to report issues with their deliveries following the site’s crash.

    One shopper wrote: ‘Any updates on when it might be working again? I have a delivery booked for tomorrow and need to update my order as only ordered random bits so far!’
