    His body was later recovered in the River Ogmore, and he was pronounced dead after being taken to Bridgend’s Principessa del Galles Ospedale.

    Dozens of officers, forensics teams and police divers have been searching the playing field and paths between Sarn and the river where the boy’s body was found.

    A 39-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder, a spokesperson for South Wales Police said today.

    All are from the Bridgend area and detectives say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

    Specially trained officers are supporting the boy’s family, Chief Inspector Geraint White said yesterday.
