What to wear this weekend: FEMAIL picks out the best zebra print pieces for effortless style this season
GO WILD IN STYLE
Animal print — in one form or another — never really goes out of fashion, but let’s be honest, leopard always risks looking a little trashy. So I was delighted to see its savannah cousin striding out on the catwalks this season. Zebra is everything you want from a print: minimalist, linear, monochrome — but still fun. That’s why it’s easy to incorporate into your existing wardrobe; black and white are a brilliant base to any ensemble.

CATWALK SAFARI
On the runway, Moschino finished off their zebra print pieces with a feather trim, while Isabel Marant displayed a pair of boots to die for — knee-high calf leather with a sharp pointed toe. The most remarkable accessory, though, was Bottega Veneta’s print leather pouch, not least because of the £2,185 price tag — the same as a short safari!
BOOTS AND BAGS
Affordable accessories are the best way to add zebra to your wardrobe. Try a gorgeous leather Zara bag or the flat shoes from John Lewis (below). Worn with a simple black dress or neutral-coloured trousers and top, it doesn’t seem so intimidating.
KEEP SHAPES SIMPLE
If animal print feels a little wild then stick to silhouettes you’re familiar with. Styles and shapes you already own — just with the added excitement of a stripe. Bonmarche’s long-sleeve top or the Oasis midi skirt (below) are easy and elegant.
