‘When I lost weight… I could do no wrong’: 여자, 28, who shed 150LBS reveals how slimming down made everyone in her life treat her BETTER, from strangers to her own FAMILY
A woman who lost 150 pounds has opened up about how almost everyone in her life started treating her better after her figure changed – including her own family members.

But what affected her the most was the way it changed the relationship she had with her family. Katiria, who is a photographer, revealed in a now-viral Tik의 톡 video that after her [object Window], her grandma wanted to take a picture of her for the first time ever – and it was very emotional for her.
‘For the first time ever, my grandma took a picture of me. I remember that day because it made me cry,’ Katiria recalled in the clip, which has now garnered more than 2.5 백만 뷰.

Before her weight loss, Katiria said it felt like she ‘didn’t matter’ but afterwards, she said ‘everything around her was perfect’

Katiria explained that things were different with her other family members too. They now offered to cook for her, rather than telling her to stop eating.

Before losing weight, Katiria said it felt like she ‘didn’t matter’ but afterwards, she started to receive better job opportunities and ‘everything around her was perfect.’
‘I felt like I didn’t matter. I was getting better job opportunities. And I don’t know, it’s like, everything around me was perfect. That messed me up because I no longer was doing it for myself,’ 그녀가 말했다.
‘I was scared that if I gained the weight back that everyone would hate me again. After being treated different, you feel like, “Oh damn, I was hated.”
‘I kid you not, if something bad happened in my family or in my friend group or just out in life, I was always easy target to blame or I would get like the s**t end of everything.’

‘I developed an eating disorder. I was scared to gain that weight back. I was trying to eat as little as possible and workout as hard as possible.’

Katiria explained that as soon as she started eating regularly again, she gained all the weight back.
‘I gained every single pound back. 그리고 지금, I’ve spent the [last] two years trying to get that high back from when I started,’ 그녀가 말했다.
‘I’ve been hiding for the last two years, haven’t been to a single event because I don’t want people to see that I gained all my weight back.’

‘I do not blame them for the way that they thought. We have all been raised by society, conditioned to appreciate and like smaller bodies. That’s just the way that it’s always been,’ 그녀가 말했다.
‘I was raised in the 90s, it was low-rise jeans, America’s Next Top Model – that’s just how I was raised. I can’t imagine the time period my grandmother was raised or my mother was raised.
‘I imagine it was much worse so I do not blame their ignorance.
‘To be quite honest, unless people have gone through what we have gone through, they’re never going to get it. As long as their willing to learn and hear you out, that’s all you could really ask for.’
She also said that after the incident with her grandma, it sparked an important conversation between them.
They now offered to cook for her, rather than telling her to stop eating. And her grandmother took a photo of her for the first time

‘Brought me to tears because I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. At the same time it brought me peace, knowing we could all overcome fatphobia if we stick together and continue to live our lives.
